Briana Ria Wilson aka Ria The Sun Flower aka Ria706 has been slaying for a while now so it’s no surprise that she’s preparing for a fantastic 2019. Let’s go back to 2018 when it started to shape up to be a big year for Briana. After releasing her sublime single – “Daddy” which caused a stir within the clubs and house parties across the UK. Also finding its way on various podcasts and radio shows across Europe. 

So who is Briana Ria Wilson aka Ria706? The 24 year old artist hales from Columbus, Ga. (US). She experiments with mixing Hip-Hop and R&B with a Neo-Soul twang, Although Ria’s style varies, Ria has been a featured jazz soloist at the Atlanta Symphony Hall with Wynton Marsalis and the Atlanta Jazz Festival in 2012 and 2013. She has also played venues such as Smith’s Olde Bar and Center Stage (Vinyl) where she opened for Tink. After years of classical training at the Schwob School of Music, Ria released her first single “Senior Year” in 2017. Her Debut Ep, R, was release in February of 2018 on all platforms.

She experiments a bit on her EP “R” kicking things off with spoken word-inspired “Luh Ryde”. However, things shift during the song’s second half as Tie Dye Intellect spits his Penned bars with undercurrents of hip-hop that make themselves known through the song’s bassline and drum track.

As with the other tracks on the EP, Briana keeps it short and sweet on the single “Why”. A beautifully laid track with its bassline-heavy, easy-going groove will definitely put a smile on your face as the cheerful mood of the track is without a doubt infectious. Okay, let us all take a good listen:
